Virtual Regatta Offshore is a free offshore racing simulation game that allows players to become the skippers of their own sailboats and compete against other players from around the world. Unlike ordinary sailing games, Virtual Regatta Offshore offers a more immersive experience by simulating real-time racing against the "winds of the globes". Players can participate in races against hundreds of thousands of rivals, including professional Vendée Globe skippers, from their computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Currently, The Ocean Race is the featured race in Virtual Regatta Offshore. This prestigious crewed ocean race provides players with the perfect opportunity to explore the game. With seven stages spread over six months, players can compete with some of the best sailors in the world in this thrilling round-the-world race.
Virtual Regatta Offshore boasts an extensive fleet of sailboats, offering players a wide variety of choices. From Class 40 and Imoca to Figaro and Ocean 50, players can sail on different types of boats that are not typically available in other boat games. Additionally, Virtual Regatta Offshore offers various offshore race formats to cater to different preferences and skill levels.
The game strives to create a realistic experience for e-sailors by continuously introducing innovative features. For example, the energy management feature challenges players to strategically manage their energy levels, just like real skippers do during long races. In addition, the position of each player's boat is now calculated every minute, bringing the game even closer to reality.

The game is an official partner of reputable sailing associations like FFVoile and World Sailing, as well as the Olympic Games. Virtual Regatta Offshore is the official sailing simulation game for renowned sailing races such as Vendée Globe, Route du Rhum, Transat Jacques Vabre, and the Olympic Virtual Series. By taking the helm of their virtual boats, players can test their skills and race against some of the biggest names in offshore racing.
To play Virtual Regatta Offshore, players simply need to give their boat a name and start racing at the same time as real skippers. The game utilizes real weather conditions to add a tactical element to the gameplay. Players must adjust their sails and course according to these conditions while tracking their position and that of their competitors on their mobile devices or tablets. They also have the option to program a change of course during a race.
In addition to the free version, Virtual Regatta Offshore offers a VIP membership for enhanced gameplay. The VIP membership, available for 3, 6, or 12 months, provides access to bonus features. Subscription payments are debited from the user's iTunes account and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users can manage their subscriptions and disable auto-renewal in their account settings after purchase.
